Human Lover First, Animal Lover Second

This commercial makes me nuts...

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm an animal lover as much as the next guy... We have a fish, a cat, some chickens, a rabbit and a tortoise as part of our "extended" family, but these commercials that go to such great expense and length for the bleeding hearts that love animals as if they are as important as the kids in our own nation going to bed hungry, if they even HAVE a bed to sleep on just drive me crazy! Just my rant for the moment....

That is a sad video which I've seen before. Thank you for posting it.

This is a very sad video, and yes humans first, animals second. Neglect and abuse of animals is uncalled for. I think this video is trying to open people's eyes to animal cruelty.
Pets bring people love, they are our friends, they become part of our family. It's horrible to see the reality of how some people treat animals. I love animals. How people neglect or abuse them is beyond me. They are God's creatures.
I'm ok with the commercial. It is overplayed though. I agree with you that other issues are more important, like children going to bed hungry.
We can't all save the world but we can try. I think people that would send money to help animals would probably be the same people that donate to organizations to help their fellow man.
I admire you for your bravery on sharing your opinion on this topic.

I am with you 100% Auntie Lee. I saw a commercial with Noah Wyle that I thought was going to be for starving children somewhere in the world and it turned out to be for POLAR BEARS. I was so upset that they were making these bears sound like humans...I told Matt "Sorry if there are no polar bears around for the next generation to see but maybe we should be more concerned about there even being a next generation of people at the rate they're being exterminated." I feel bad the polar bears are hungry, but geez, it's a bear, not a human with an irreplaceable eternal soul. Thanks for letting me rant! :)
